Protect Mueller Protest Happening In Norristown Thursday

A protest in support of Robert Mueller in the wake of Jeff Sessions' departure will be held in Norristown Thursday.

NORRISTOWN, PA — Local progressives are organizing a protest at the courthouse in Norristown Thursday to "protect" Robert Mueller, the head of the Special Counsel Investigation looking into Russian interference in the 2016 elections.

The event is protesting the replacement of Attorney General Jeff Sessions with Matthew Whitaker, a Trump supporter who, in his new position, will by default be in charge of the Mueller probe.

Organizers fear the integrity of the investigation will be compromised by the new appointment.
