Public Deer Hunt Announced In Norristown
A one day controlled deer hunt will be held at Norristown Farm Park. Residents can now apply to participate.

NORRISTOWN, PA — A public deer hunt has been scheduled for Norristown Farm Park.
Only antlerless deer may be hunted. Hunters must use a 12-gauge shotgun with only slug ammunition. Buckshot is forbidden.
The event will take place on Jan. 15 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is being organized by the Montgomery County Division of Parks, Trails, and Historic Sites.

Residents must first apply, and 38 hunters will be selected from a lottery on Dec. 6.
All hunters are required to hunt from a self-climbing tree stand with a functioning safety harness.

Hunters must be at least 21 years old, and possess at least one antlerless deer tag for Wildlife Management Unit 5D.
To apply, mail a card with your name, legal address, telephone number, driver’s license number, PA hunting license number, and a WMU 5D antlerless tag number. The card must be postmarked by 4:15 p.m. on Nov. 30 and should be sent to Norristown Farm Park, 2500 Upper Farm Road, Norristown, PA 19403.
