Edward A. Lasorda of Lower Providence Twp. Edward A. Lasorda, 91, of Lower Providence Twp., died at home on Monday, September 21, 2015.
Born August 12, 1924 in Norristown, PA he was the son of the late Carmella (Cavuto) and Sabatino Lasorda, husband of Elizabeth Cook Lasorda (deceased).

Mr. Lasorda attended Holy Saviour and Norristown High School, but left prior to graduation to enlist in the U.S. Army during WWII.
For many years he worked for the Honeywell Corporation before opening Lasorda’s Restaurant with his brothers, which they operated successfully for more than 32 years.

After retiring from the restaurant business, Mr. Lasorda worked part-time at The Montgomery County Court House as a tipstaff. He enjoyed traveling and golf, was a member of the Catholic War Veterans Post 1182, but perhaps more than anything else Mr. Lasorda enjoyed being with his brothers, especially when pasta was being served.
He is survived by Granddaughter, Laura Coia, Grandson-in-law, Christopher Gomez, Great Grand Children Olivia, Ava, & Robert Gomez and Lindsay Coia; brothers: Thomas (Joan) Lasorda, Harry Lasorda, Morris (Joanne) Lasorda, and Joseph ‘Smokey’ (Gaetana) Lasorda and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his Daughter and Son-In-Law Carmella and Aurielo Soriano, Granddaughter Elizabeth Gomes; and Sisters-in-law Irene and Virginia Lasorda.
The family received relatives and friends on Friday, September 25, 2015, from 9 - 10:30 am, at Holy Saviour Church, 407 E Main St., Ntn., PA. Mass to follow at 11 am. Private entombment will be scheduled at a later date at St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Einstein Montgomery Hospice, 1330 Powell St., Suite 100, Norristown., PA 19401.
