Gov. Tom Wolf has called for her immediate resignation.

"I do not believe Kathleen Kane should be Attorney General of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. I believed this when she was charged, and today, after conviction, there should be no question that she should resign immediately," Wolf said in a statement.

Philadelphia Inquirer reporter Laura McCrystal said via Twitter the jury came to its decision after more than four hours of deliberation Monday.

Kane showed "little emotion" when the verdict was announced Monday night, the Associated Press reported.

Prosecutors alleged Kane, who was elected in 2012, leaked information about a grand jury probe in an attempt to embarrass a rival. The jury agreed, following damaging testimony of a former political consultant who said he was asked to deliver the leaked documents to the Philadelphia Daily News.

Kane did not testify. She is not seeking reelection.
