Mystery Goat Discovered Wandering Around Towamencin

Not all who wander are lost, as Tolkien said.

(Towamencin Police Department)

TOWAMENCIN, PA — Tucked up against the treeline off Weikel Road on a bright blue spring Tuesday morning, a four legged creature came cautiously meandering into the light.

But it was no dog or cat that prowled the perimeter of the township pool. It was a mysterious goat.

A few local residents spotted and reported the goat. There was no indication of where the goat came from and to who it belonged, if anyone at all. The goat did bear a tag on it's ear, but the tag was snapped off and provided no information, police said.

The handsome kid was dressed with bandanas around his neck. One had stars and stripes on it, the other was spotted red and white like a tablecloth.

After the goat was originally reported by the pool, he wandered off. He was later found near Pioneer Court, and is now safe with police.
