Saki Monkey Pregnant At Elmwood Park Zoo

NORRISTOWN, PA — A baby saki monkey is expected to join the family at Elmwood Park Zoo over the next four to six weeks, the zoo announced Wednesday.

The monkey, Lexi, was confirmed as pregnant after being monitored by zoo staff.

Saki monkeys have a range over large parts of northern and central South America. They live primarily in large trees.

Lexi just turned four years old this February.

Visit Lexi and her mate, Opus, at the Bayou section of the zoo at Elmwood.
