Schuylkill Heritage Center Launches 'History App' For Norristown Trail Users

PHOENIXVILLE, PA -- Hiking the Schuylkill River Trail through Phoenixville and the surrounding area just became a little more interactive.

The Schuylkill River Heritage Center has launched a History App for iPhone users which they hope will provide a cultural context to the natural spectacle of the trail.

The App went live on Monday.

Over 80 different places are on the App, stretching from Valley Forge through Norristown to Spring City and Royersford, and from Phoenixville to Historic Yellow Springs.

Users who have downloaded the App will receive a notification on their phone when they are passing a noted landmark.

An Android version will be available in April.
