Security Officer Injured During Police Incident At KOP Mall
No shots were fired, police clarified, despite initial reports of an active shooter.
KING OF PRUSSIA, PA — Police activity at King of Prussia Mall on Friday night was due to a shoplifting incident and no gunshots were fired, despite early reports, police said. However, one person was injured in the chaos.
The incident occurred on Nov. 10.
Police said one of the suspects in the theft "brandished a weapon" when a loss prevention officer tried to take him into custody.

The officer was injured as the man escaped, police said. Two other suspects escaped as well.
