September Events for Children at Montgomery County-Norristown Public Library

ALL CHILDREN’S PROGRAMS ARE FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED, EXCEPT WHERE NOTED.
We suggest you arrive early to guarantee admission. Doors will close and a sign will be posted on the door to the Children’s Learning Center when maximum capacity for each program has been reached. Programs begin on time. Children under age 8 must be accompanied by an adult.

Tuesdays from September 12 through October 24
Pre-K Adventures – 10:30 am – Activities are aimed at developing skills for Kindergarten, with stories, crafts, fun movement songs, and hands-on activities. For children ages 3-1/2 to 5 and their caregivers. Drop in.

Wednesdays from September 13 through October 25
Baby Lap Rap – 10:30 am - Simple stories, new and traditional songs, shaker eggs and rhythm sticks for your baby and you! Flannelboard activities and props will help your child learn and play with Mother Goose rhymes. Ages 0-24 months with a caregiver. Drop in.

Thursdays from September 14 through October 26
Toddler Tickle Tales – 10:30 am – Stories, songs, rhymes, and activities for young preschoolers. Ages 2 to 3 with a caregiver, followed by toys and playgroup time. Drop in.

Thursdays from September 14 through October 26
Twilight Tales – 7:00 pm – Family storytime! Our activities will be a mixture of fun and learning with stories, songs and an occasional craft and parachute play. For ages 0-7 with a caregiver. Drop in.

Saturday, September 9
LEGO PLUS – 10:30 am – Imagine, create, and build using a variety of building sets, including LEGO, K’Nex, Straws and Connectors, and more! For kids in grades K-6. Drop in. Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult.

Tuesdays and Thursdays from September 19 through June 8
Homework Helpers – 5:00 pm – Bilingual volunteers are available to help students with homework. For kids in grades K-6. Drop in.

Thursday, September 21
Fall Apple Fun – 2:00 pm – Apples! Join us as we celebrate fall's tasty treat with fun activities and snacks. Grades K-6. Drop in. Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Norristown area schools day off activity.

Friday, September 22
