'Serial' Bank Robber In Montgomery County Sentenced To 12 Years

The man robbed three area banks, including in Montgomery County, in a period of just 10 days, officials said.

KING OF PRUSSIA, PA — A man described by authorities as a "serial" bank robber who hit several institutions in the local area, including in Montgomery County, has been sentenced to prison.

Lamar Tindall, 45, of Philadelphia, will spend the next 12 years behind bars, the U.S. Attorney's Office announced.

Tindall robbed three separate BB&T Banks over a period of ten days back in May 2019, according to officials. He pleaded guilty in January.

The banks he hit were in Philadelphia on May 14, Feasterville on May 17, and King of Prussia on May 23, the U.S. Attorney's Office said.

In each case, police said Tindall handed a threatening note to the teller demanding cash.

Tindall has previously been convicted on drug trafficking and robbery, and was categorized as a "career offender" by Judge Joshua D. Wolson before handing down sentencing.

Tindall was also sentenced to three years probation following his prison term, and must pay $2,995 in restitution.
