Severe Thunderstorm Warning Issued For Parts Of Philly Region
Winds up to 60 miles per hour, hail, and flooding are possible, officials warn.
A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for a chunk of southeastern Pennsylvania Thursday afternoon. It comes a day after heavy rains dumped a month's worth of precipitation on the Philadelphia area, leading to flooding and damage to roads and buildings.
The warning is in effect for southeastern Montgomery County, central Chester County, west Philadelphia, and all of Delaware County, the National Weather Service announced.
It's in place through 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

Wind gusts up to 60 miles per hour, and penny-sized hail were also possible, forecasters said.

Specifically, impacted towns include: Philadelphia, Wilmington, Newark, West Chester, Norristown, Chester, Phoenixville, West Norriton, East Norriton, Pennsville, Coatesville, Yeadon, Westtown, Carneys Point, Downingtown, Conshohocken, Hatboro, Folcroft, Ambler, and Swarthmore.

During a severe thunderstorm warning, experts recommend moving to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.
