Shooting At King Of Prussia Mall Injures 1, Multiple Suspects Sought

According to police, authorities received multiple calls Friday night about shots fired in the lower level of a mall parking garage.

KING OF PRUSSIA, PA — Authorities are searching for multiple suspects after a man was injured in a Friday shooting in a King of Prussia Mall parking garage.

According to the Upper Merion Police Department, authorities received multiple calls shortly after 8 p.m. after witnesses heard shots fired in the lower level of the blue parking garage outside.

According to police, officers arrived at the parking garage but located no victims or suspects.

Police said they were later contacted by a man who told officers he was at a nearby gas station and suffered a minor injury to his hand in the shooting.

The victim told police he was at the parking garage attempting to sell a pair of sneakers to another person. According to police, one of the suspects then put a gun to the back of the victim's head while he was distracted.

Authorities said the victim and the suspects fought before the victim fired his own gun during the struggle. The suspects also fired a weapon, police said.

According to authorities, witnesses reported seeing three or four men dressed in black with black masks. Witnesses said the men got into a car and fled the area after the shooting, police said.

Following an investigation, police determined the victim and the suspects knew each other. Police called it a targeted incident and said there was no ongoing threat to the public.
