Simmons records triple-double as Sixers defeat the Heat in Game 4
Simmons became the first rookie to record a triple-double in the NBA playoffs since Magic Johnson did it for the Lakers in 1980.

Ben Simmons did something in the NBA playoffs Saturday for the Philadelphia Sixers that has not been done in 38 years. Yes, Magic Johnson was the last to do it in 1980 for the eventual world champion Los Angeles Lakers. As a rookie, he recorded a triple-double in the playoffs.
Philadelphia defeated Miami 106-102 Saturday and lead the best-of-seven series three games to one. Game five is Tuesday night in Philadelphia at a time to be determined.
Simmons had 17 points, 13 rebounds, and 10 assists for the Sixers Saturday as they are seeking their first NBA championship since 1983.

Three-time NBA Champion Dwayne Wade led Miami Saturday with 25 points. Including the last 16 games of the regular season, the Sixers have won 19 of their last 20 games this season and are the hottest team in the NBA.
Simmons averaged 15.8 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 8.2 assists in 81 games, all as a starter, for the Sixers this season. Philadelphia was 52-30 during the regular season this year.
