Sinkhole Found By Snowplow In Norristown Monday

NORRISTOWN, PA — A sinkhole was discovered by a snowplow clearing the roads in Norristown on Monday morning, leading to a closure.

It was found on the 700 block of Chain Street, between Oak Street and Elm Street, officials said.

That block has been shut down to traffic.

The local utility company has responded to the scene and is working on repairs.

Drivers are asked to avoid the area until the situation is resolved.
