Sixers and Cavaliers battle in Eastern Conference showdown

Both teams looking ahead to the NBA's postseason coming up

With both teams entering the NBA Eastern Conference battle fighting for playoff position, the Philadelphia 76ers and the Cleveland Cavaliers knew Friday night's game was important. Philadelphia (49-30) escaped with a 132-130 win over the visitors (49-31) and are now in sole possession of third place in the Eastern Conference as the regular season winds down.

Ben Simmons finished with 27 points, 15 rebounds, and 13 assists for the victors, while LeBron James exploded for 44 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists in a losing effort.

Cleveland will next battle the Knicks in New York on Monday while the Sixers host Dallas on Sunday.
