PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Sixers' Mike Scott is known as many things: a fan favorite, an electric three-point shooter, an easily recognizable, headband-wearing force off the bench. And, it turns out, a Washington Redskins fan.

So Scott was, of course, in attendance at the Eagles vs. Redskins season opener in south Philadelphia on Sunday afternoon, where he became involved in a brawl with several rowdy Eagles fans.

It's not clear exactly what precipitated the fight. A brief video circulated social media showing a scene from the incident, during which multiple individuals dressed in green fall short in the confrontation.

Scott seemed uninjured in the fight, posting to social media shortly afterwards and posing for selfies with fans.

The Sixers released a brief statement.

"We are aware of the situation and are in the process of gathering more information. We will have no further comment at this time."

No charges have been filed. The Sixers resigned Scott, a power forward, to a two-year, $9.8 million deal back in June.

The Eagles defeated the Redskins, 32-27.
