Summer Reading Kicks off At Norristown Library
Summer reading begins today at libraries around the area. What are you reading this summer?

Summer is nearly here, and that means local libraries are launching their summer reading programs.
The summer-long event begins on Monday, June 13.
The Montgomery County Library system lays out the following guidelines:

- Beginning Monday, June 13th at 9:00 am register in person and pick up your materials at the library
- For every two hours you read or have been read to, you win a free book and a chance to win a bicycle or a $50 gift certificate from Barnes & Noble. (Maximum 10 books per child.)
- The first 100 people to sign up get a free t-shirt (For children ages 0-12).
- Try to read every day from Monday, June 13th to August 6
- Ask your librarians for great books to read.
- Use your calendar to keep track of the days you read or listen to books by filling in the total number of minutes you read each day
- Write a review and submit it to be entered in weekly drawings.
- The theme for children is: On Your Mark, Get Set, Read, celebrating fitness and health.
