Tech Issue Causes Delay In Montco License To Carry Processing

The temporary halt on gun permit processing in the county is due to technical difficulties, officials said Tuesday.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA — Montgomery County residents who were unable to complete processing of license to carry permits this week should not be concerned, officials said.

The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office said the process had been temporarily halted because of technical issues with software connected to the state system in Harrisburg.

"This is a statewide issue due to the termination of Adobe Flash," the office said in social media post. "We have sent mass emails to applicants scheduled for impending pickup appointments informing them of the problem and will continue to provide updates on process resumption."
