Tom Brady Gets Rematch With Eagles On Thursday Night Football
The Eagles will host the defending Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Bucs, marking the Birds' first battle with Tom Brady since you know when.

PHILADLEPHIA, PA — The last time the ageless Tom Brady lined up against the Philadelphia Eagles, he was facing a team led by Nick Foles, whose foundation had been built in the regular season by Carson Wentz, and whose play-calling was decided by Doug Pederson.
Some two and a half years and another Super Bowl ring later, the Eagles will get another crack at the all-time great. This time, however, it will an almost entirely different cast. The Birds have seen dramatic turnover in that short period, losing not only most of their starring and leading cast, but much of the supporting players as well. Only eight athletes remain from the 2018 Super Bowl champion Eagles.
Instead of Foles and Wentz, it'll be Jalen Hurts getting the chance to make himself a legend against Brady and the Bucs on national television. Kickoff for the Birds and Bucs is at 8:20 p.m.

At 2-3, the Eagles are coming off a tight 21-18 victory against the previously undefeated Carolina last week. A win would even up their record at 3-3 and put them in second place in the NFC East, behind the 4-1 Cowboys.
Of course, just like last week, the Eagles are heavy underdogs against the Bucs, who are 4-1 themselves and coming off another absolutely dominant offensive performance last week, when they drubbed the Dolphins 45-17. According to Sportsbookwire, the Bucs are 6.5 favorites (-320 odds in their favor) to beat the Eagles.

The Eagles will need to once again rely on their defense, which so effectively limited the Panthers last week, to fight off Brady and his NFL-leading 1,767 passing yards. The Birds are average — 17th — in limiting pass yards, but are tied for 11th in passing touchdowns allowed, with only 7.
For his career, Brady is 4-1 against the Eagles during the regular season, and 1-1 in his two playoff games against the Birds, both of which came in the Super Bowl.
