Update To Parking Violations, Citations Announced In Norristown
Parking violations will look a little bit different in Norristown starting this fall.
NORRISTOWN, PA βParking violations will look a little bit different in Norristown starting this fall.
The municipality has announced a new printed ticket system, where a long, narrow black and white piece of paper will be left on vehicles by parking enforcement officers.
Citations will look "similar to a receipt from a grocery store or other retail outlet."

Officials did not elaborate on why the change was made.
The violations will still include the same information, such as the type of violation, the issue date and time, the vehicle make and color, plate information, the badge number of the officer writing the ticket, and the fine amount.

Fines will begin to increase five days after they're first issued.
Available payment methods have not changed.
Tickets can be paid online at norristownpa.rmcpay.com, by mail, or in person at the Norristown Finance Department on 1700 Markley Street, Suite 104. Their hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
