NORRISTOWN, PA — Police are on the hunt for a man who they said shot and killed a man in Norristown. The victim recorded his own killing on cellphone video, prosecutors said.

A warrant has been issued for Eugene Ware, 41, of Philadelphia. He faces first-degree murder and firearms charges, the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office announced Wednesday. He should be considered armed and dangerous, authorities said.

The incident occurred Monday, Nov. 21 on the 900 block of West Main Street at around 10 p.m.

Cellphone video footage recorded by the victim, Tyrone Guy, shows him and Ware in the midst of a confrontation, police said.

In the video, Ware appears to be concealing something behind his back. He then swings at the cellphone, knocking it to the ground. Several gunshots can be heard in the video, police said.

When authorities arrived at the scene and found Guy on the sidewalk, they said that his cellphone was still recording.

Police also found a black winter jacket with a distinctive red and white logo on the front of it at the scene. They said it matches a brand of clothing modeled and sold by Ware through social media.

Guy was taken to Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia where he was later declared dead.

Ware is 5 feet, 8 inches tall and about 165 pounds. If you have any information on his whereabouts, contact Norristown Police at 610-270-0977 or Montgomery County Detectives at 610-226-5553.
