Vote Now: Norristown Enters To Win Special Grant For K9 Unit
You can help the Norristown Police Department win $2,500 to support their fledgling police dog program.
NORRISTOWN, PA — Norristown officers have entered a special contest to win funding to support the police department's K9 Unit.
The Aftermath K9 Grant is awarded based on voting from the public. The voting period runs from May 25 to June 5.
"Grants can be used for the expansion or maintenance of existing K-9 units, provision of K9 bulletproof vests, training and equipment expenses," the police department said.

Police departments around the nation compete in multiple categories for several different $2,500 awards.
Norristown's Officer Samantha O'Neill, along with her K9, Captain, are entered for the municipality. The pair graduated together from the Penn Vet Working Dog Center.

Votes are tallied on the Aftermath website, their Facebook page, and their Instagram page. Individuals can vote three times a day, once on each page.
