Want To Become A Montgomery County Sheriff's Deputy?

NORRISTOWN, PA -- The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office is looking for two deputies. The deadline to apply is Friday at 4:30 p.m.

Starting salary is $37,000.

Here is the job summary, according to the Sheriff's Office:

"This position is first line level responsible for carrying out orders of the court to include civil, courts, warrants and transportation duties. Special assignment and training is necessary. Deputy Sheriff’s transport over 13,000 prisoners per year, serve over 10,000 warrants and 45,000 civil matters independently. "

The physical requirements vary by age and gender, but require push ups, sit ups, a 300 meter run, and a 1.5 mile run.
