WATCH: Elmwood Zoo Animals Feast On Donated Lobster Tail, Salmon
As Montgomery County-area restaurants donate their surplus meat and seafood, Elmwood's critters get to enjoy a special treat.
NORRISTOWN, PA — Quarantine is treating the animals over at Elmwood Park Zoo just fine.
Due to the coronavirus outbreak, many local restaurants have unfortunately been left with a surplus of meat of seafood. They've either needed to close completely or only offer takeout and delivery services, leaving much food that could potentially go to waste.

So instead, they've given back some of the raw materials to the Elmwood Park Zoo, offering critters there a special treat.

A video shared by the zoo Tuesday showed the feast underway:
Mostly recently, tigers and otters got to enjoy some salmon and lobster tail courtesy of The Capital Grille in King of Prussia.
Restaurants like Tex Mex Connection, Blue Bell Inn, Bluestone Country Club, and Not Your Average Joe's have also generously donated to the animals.
