'Well Organized' Burglary Ring Targeting Montgomery County
Police are warning residents as a months-long string of burglaries with similar characteristics intensifies.
MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA — A "well-organized" burglary ring has been targeting Montgomery County in recent months, police warned the public this week.
Police said that numerous burglaries sharing similar characteristics have been reported throughout the suburban Philadelphia area. Specifically, the group has narrowed in on Upper Merion Township in the past week, according to authorities.
Burglaries typically take place between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m., though they've hit later on occasion. They enter homes through rear windows, quickly find a safe or jewelry cache, and leave as soon as possible, police said.
