West Conshohocken's Stella Blu Shuts Down Early Due To Burst Pipe
The beloved restaurant was planning on shutting down at the end of the month, but has been forced to close early due to a burst pipe.

WEST CONSHOHOCKEN, PA — Stella Blu, the beloved eatery in West Conshohocken that announced it would close at the end of the month, has been forced to close prematurely due to a burst pipe. Owners said that it would not be realistic or financially possible to reopen.
They added that locals hoping for one last meal at Stella Blu could still come into local eatery Gypsy Saloon over the coming weeks, as they will be offering some of Stella Blu's signature dishes beginning next week.
"We are heartbroken to have to close Stella Blu this way," owner Kim Strengari said. "We hope to be able to say goodbye to our old Stella friends at Gypsy Saloon in the coming weeks."

Owners said that the pipe burst between the dining room and the kitchen. Burst pipes and water mains have been a major issue in West Conshohocken and much of Montgomery County as frigid weather has gripped the region over the past week.
However, the good news is that the restaurant will be relaunched as a "virtual restaurant" by the Conshy Girls Restaurant Group later in 2018, owners said.

Customers will be able to order food online and have it delivered to their home.
Owners also said that they would consider opening a new location in the future, if the right location became available.
"Stella Blu has created so many friendships, relationships, marriages and even babies," owner Marianne Gere said. "Kim, Mike and I would like to thank all of our guests and employees who have made Stella their second home over the years."
Stella Blu is located on 101 Ford Street.
