Autumn Nor'easter In PA: Latest Updates On Impacts, Timing
Here's when to expect the worst of the heavy rain and wind gusts in eastern Pennsylvania.
PENNSYLVANIA — Tuesday afternoon will see the heaviest rain of the autumn nor'easter sweeping through the greater Philadelphia area, forecasters say, the latest in a string of powerful weather events that threatens flooding and other damages.
Strong winds are likely to continue to peak into the evening hours, and the flooding risk will also peak late Tuesday afternoon into Tuesday evening as well, according to the National Weather Service. Flooding risk in eastern Pennsylvania is considered "elevated."

"Heavy rain leading to flash flooding remains the primary concern," forecasters said in their update early Tuesday morning. "In addition to the rain that occurred Monday evening and Monday night, heavy rain is possible today into tonight."
Another inch to inch and a half of rain is likely for most of the region throughout the day Tuesday. The more southern parts of Chester and Delaware counties are predicted to receive less of the brunt of the storm, with just a quarter to half an inch of rain likely.

Wind gusts up to 45 miles per hour remain possible. The risk for severe thunderstorms, however, has ended.
The coastal flooding map indicates that several areas along the Delaware River watershed could experience flooding. The risk is considered "minor spotty," meaning forecasters do not see this storm progressing into an Isaias or Ida-level event.
