NORRISTOWN, PA — If you spot a painted sculpture of a jaguar prowling through Montgomery County in the coming days, there's a reason for that.

The jaguars are part of a new marketing initiative between the Elmwood Park Zoo and the Valley Forge Tourism and Convention Board, who are partnering with local businesses looking to advertise with a growl.

"These one of a kind designed jaguars are a perfect opportunity to advertise your business and show off what makes Montco unique," the zoo said Tuesday in announcing the partnership. "By sponsoring a sculpture, you will design its look and pick a location, then the zoo — in partnership with — will hire a local artist to paint your design right on your jaguar."

Labelled the "Centennial Prowl," the sculptures are part of the zoo's 100th anniversary celebrations. The initiative allows local businesses to support both the area's economy and the zoo's wildlife and conservation mission while advertising themselves in a unique way.
