Woman Armed With Box Cutter Attacks Police Officer In Montco: Cops
The woman had been operating a forklift without a certification at the warehouse where she worked, and then refused to leave, police said.
UPPER MERION, PA — A woman attacked police officers who tried to escort her from her place of work in Montgomery County after her company asked her to leave, police said.
The incident occurred on Oct. 28 at around 2:30 a.m. on the 900 block of River Road in Upper Merion.
The woman, an employee at the Target Distribution Warehouse there, had been operating a fork lift without the proper certifications, police said. Her supervisor asked her to leave the property and she refused, according to authorities.

Police were called and they escorted the woman from the building. Once outside, they asked the woman if she wanted them to call her a ride share to get home, but she ignored their request, officials said.
Instead, she walked toward one of the officers with her hand. hidden in her pants pocket. The other officer saw that she was holding a large box cutter, according to police.

Police were able to restrain the arm that held the box cutter but she swung with her free arm and hit the officers in the head and face, police said.
A second box cutter was later found inside the woman's personal bag.
She was charged with aggravated assault and resisting arrest and was booked at Montgomery County Correctional Facility. A preliminary hearing is forthcoming.
