World War II Vet and Fireman, Frequent Norristown Volunteer, Passes Away At 90
May he rest in peace.

HORSHAM, PA -- John H. 'Jack' Kenny of Horsham, formerly of McKinley, Pa., died peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at his residence. He was 90.
He was the beloved husband for 65 years of the late Magdalene 'Madge' (Donahue); the loving father of John (Gloria), Catharine, Loretta Connaughton (the late John), Mary (Bill Hoover), Suzanne, Michael (Elaine) and Ann Schiele (Chris); and brother of the late Thomas and James Kenny and Mary Fogel. John is also survived by 21 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Jack volunteered for service as a U.S. Navy Armed Guard during World War II.
He was a lifetime member of the MacSwiney Club in Jenkintown, and proudly served as a member of the McKinley Fire Company.

John retired from Master Etching in Ambler at age 62.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing from 7 to 9 p.m., Friday, April 8 at the Joseph J. McGoldrick Funeral Home, 507 West Ave., Jenkintown, PA 19046. There will be a closed casket visitation from 11:30 a.m. until his funeral Mass at noon on Saturday, April 9 at Saint Catherine of Sienna Church, 321 Witmer Road, Horsham, Pa. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
Jack volunteered at the Mother Theresa Shelter in Norristown, Pa. for over 20 years. Therefore in lieu of flowers, donations in his memory to the Missionaries of Charity, 630 DeKalb St., Norristown, PA 19401,www.mothertheresa.org, would be appreciated by the family.
