'You Look Like You Have Money': Norristown Robbery Threat Ends In Jailtime

The victim tried to leave, but the suspect grabbed her by her hair and said "If you don't give me the money I'll physically assault you."

NORRISTOWN, PA - A Philadelphia woman was sentenced to jail for conspiracy to commit robbery in Norristown.

Tyesha Shockton, 26, will spend the next six to 23 months in prison for her role in the May 16 incident, the Times Herald reports.

Shockton allegedly approached a victim who was sitting on the steps of the Dunkin Donuts on 100 West Main Street, the report states.

Shockton was with two other people. She said to the victim that she “looked like she had money.”

The victim tried to leave, but Shockton grabbed her by her hair and reportedly said “If you don’t give me the money I’ll physically assault you,”

The woman was able to get away, and Shockton was arrested near the Norristown Transportation Center after the victim provided police with descriptions.
