You May Qualify for Help with Medicare Expenses

Medicare provides two benefit programs to help people pay for Medicare if their income is low. If you qualify, you need to apply. These programs help to pay for prescriptions and in some cases premiums.
Low Income Subsidy (LIS) - The LIS program, also known as "Extra Help" provides assistance to Medicare Part D beneficiaries in paying for their monthly prescription drug costs.
Medicare Savings Programs (MSP) - These benefits, available through the state Medicaid agency, help consumers with low incomes pay for their Medicare premiums.
