More than 30 Port Authority of Allegheny County bus routes will be detoured and temporary stops will be in place Sunday during the 35th annual Richard S. Caliguri Great Race in Pittsburgh.
Most of the routes and temporary stops will be in the city neighborhoods of Downtown, Uptown, Oakland and Squirrel Hill. Detours will begin with the morning’s start of bus service and are expected to end by about 1 p.m.
Riders should allow for extra time when traveling on detoured buses. Two temporary bus routes will operate during the race—the 5K and 10K—to provide service between Downtown and Oakland, and Downtown and Squirrel Hill, respectively.
