La Roche College seniors Kristin Collins and Julie McVay have been awarded Sister Matilda Kelly AAUW Incentive Grants aimed at encouraging women to complete undergraduate college education.
Both women will receive $2000.
Collins is a LaRoche College senior, majoring in psychology with a minor in criminal justice. She plans to graduate in May. She is a student in the New Castle program and was selected for membership in Psi Chi, the international honor society in psychology.

McVay iintends to graduate in December. She recently earned an associate’s degree in radiologic technology and is completing her bachelor of arts degree in medical imaging. Her long-term goal is to obtain specialized radiological training in mammography.
The AAUW promotes equality for women and girls, lifelong education and societal change through advocacy, education, philanthropy and research.
