James V. Decker, age 85 of Franklin Park, was born in Wheeling, WV on Dec. 31, 1926. He was a son of the late Francis E. & Ida M. (Fietz) Decker.
He was married for 60 years to Rose Ann (Morrissey) Decker. He was the father of three sons, James V. Decker Jr.,Richard M. (Joyce) Decker and Thomas E. (Mary Grace) Decker; three daughters, Janet M. (Tim) Heintz, Patricia A. (Ed) Devine, and Mary E. & Robert J. Decker.
He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, Luke, Eddie, Shannon, Josh, Elaine, Tommy, Kelly, Megan, Curt & Heather; one great-grandson, Caleb; and two sisters, Mary O'Leary and Frances Sweeten. A brother, Robert Decker, is deceased.

The family welcomed friends Wednesday at Schellhaas Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 388 Center Ave., West View. A Mass was celebrated Thursday, Sept. 27 at St. Mary Church, Glenfield. Interment in St. Mary Cemetery.
