Local salon gets involved in a national campaign

A small business helps make big changes on a tough US social issue

Eikon Hair Lounge in Wexford, Pa has joined a national awareness campaign aimed at eradicating child sex trafficking in the United States. The national awareness campaign is aptly called 13A reflecting the 13th Amendment abolishing slavery in the United States. Statistics estimate that over 100,000 US kids are enslaved today. Eikon is drawing awareness by offering customers 13% off of retail products (including the prestigious Kerastase and Bumble luxury Haircare lines) though December 13, 2012. People that would like to help 13A can do so in 3 easy steps at www.resolutionhope.org 1. Sign a petition to President Obama 2. Donate $5 if so moved 3. Tell 30 of your friends Eikon has loved getting involved with difficult but important social issues, and we encourage all of small business to do the same. It is often said that small business is driving the economy in the US, but we like to think that together we can affect social change as well.
