North Allegheny Senior Earns Perfect Score on Advanced Placement Exam

Connor Philips was one of only 12 students among the 62,351who took the test, to achieve a perfect score.

The North Allegheny School District is proud to announce that Connor Phillips, a senior at the North Allegheny Senior High School, has achieved a perfect score on the 2012 Advanced Placement (AP) Microeconomics Exam.

The 2012 AP Microeconomics Exam was taken by 62,351 students. Connor was one of only 12 students to achieve a perfect score on the exam by earning every possible point, including answering every multiple choice question correctly and earning full points on each essay section.

AP Exams are written and scored by college professors from around the world and are designed to cover a full-year of intensive college-level knowledge and skills.

AP Exams are based on a composite score 1 to 5, where 5 is equivalent to a grade of A in the corresponding college course.

In 2012, there were a total of 3.7 million AP Exams taken by 2.1 million students, in subjects ranging from Art History to Calculus to Physics. Only 88 students earned every point possible.

In addition, Connor has also earned perfect scores on the SAT (2400) and the ACT (36).
