Our Aging Brains: Why It's Important To Manage Stress

The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center is conducting
a research study on the effects of stress on the aging brain. Do stress and
late life depression cause irreversible changes in the brain? Do exercise and
problem-solving skills improve our brain function and help to keep our brains
healthy?

Dr. Meryl Butters of UPMC comes to Northland Library to present
an informative program on this important subject. After her presentation, brief
screenings will be available for those who are interested in the study. Those
who are eligible and wish to participate in further screenings will be
compensated for their time.

Registration for this free presentation is required by
calling the adult services desk at 412-366-8100, extension 113 or through the
Events page on the Library’s website: www.northlandlibrary.org.
