The Northampton Township Veterans Advisory Commission, in partnership with local veterans and volunteers, will host the Flags for Forgotten Veterans display on Tuesday, June 30, on Hatboro Road in front of the Northampton Township Municipal Park at 10am.

The powerful display will feature 660 American flags, each representing veterans lost to suicide every month in the United States. The exhibit is designed to raise awareness about veteran suicide, encourage conversations about mental health, and connect veterans and their families with available resources and support.

The installation will be completed by a team of Purple Heart veterans and community volunteers. Organizers hope the display will become an annual event in Northampton Township and continue to expand awareness throughout the region.

"Our mission is simple," said Mike Egan, Vietnam Veteran and Purple Heart recipient. "We want to reduce veteran suicide through awareness, education, and community engagement. Every flag represents a veteran we have lost, and every conversation started by this display is an opportunity to save a life."

"We are honored and excited to finally bring Flags for Forgotten Veterans to Northampton Township," said Kristin Reilly, Chair of the Northampton Township Veterans Advisory Commission. "This issue affects families and communities across our nation. We are proud to support this important effort and help raise awareness here in our own community."

Local elected officials, veterans’ organizations, law enforcement representatives, community leaders, and members of the media are invited to attend and support this important awareness initiative.
