• Berks County historical markers temporarily removed for restoration (berksweekly.com) — Historical markers in Northampton County are part of a statewide restoration push ahead of the nation's 250th anniversary, so you may notice some familiar blue-and-gold signs temporarily missing. The state is removing markers in batches for welding, repairs, and repainting, then returning them to their posts over several weeks, with yellow tags left behind to explain the work.
