A teen fell from a cliff at Tyler State Park Saturday afternoon, requiring a rescue effort from Newtown Fire Association and Northampton Fire Co.

The female 17-year-old fell as far as 50 feet Saturday around 4:30 p.m., the Bucks County Courier Times reported. Crews worked for 90 minutes to rescue her. She suffered spinal injuries and was transported to St. Mary Medical Center in unknown condition, the report said.

Cliff rescues are not uncommon at Tyler Park. Last summer, a man injured his leg after a fall from a cliff at the local state park. In 2013, officials reported two cliff rescues at the park.
