Holland Man Charged $5K On Stolen Credit Card: Police

A local man who allegedly used a stolen credit card to make more than $5,000 in purchases has surrendered to authorities.

A local man who allegedly used a stolen credit card to make more than $5,000 in purchases has surrendered to authorities.

According to Upper Makefield Police, 48-year-old Jeffrey Jakubik of Holland turned himself in to police on Tuesday following a four-month investigation into the alleged theft. Police say in January, a township resident reported that an unknown subject had used her credit card to make multiple unauthorized purchases totaling $4,781.

The investigation revealed Jakubik used the card, as well as made a one-time bill payment made electronically to T-Mobile totaling $326, police said. His relationship to the victim was not revealed by police.

He has been charged with identity theft, access device fraud, theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property.

His preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 12.
