ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA - There are many reasons why pursuing a health care job in western Pennsylvania makes sense, and not just because the region is home to medical conglomerates such as UPMC or the Allegheny Health Network.
Perhaps the strongest reason is that health care is a booming career field both locally and nationally. According to the U.S. Department of Labor’s Bureau of Labor Statistics, health care occupations are projected to grow 19 percent by 2024 - much faster than the average for all occupations.
