5K To Pay Tribute To Late North Hills High School Student
The Halloween week event benefits the Make-A-Wish and Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh foundations.

ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA - The memory of a late North Hills High School student will be honored Oct. 27 with the third running of the Jake Wudarczyk Monster Dash 5K and Spooky Stroll at the North Park Boathouse.
Jake was 16 when he died in December 2016 after a 20-month battle with cancer. Two month before his death, the Make-A-Wish recipient was able to attend the inaugural Monster Dash, whose proceeds benefit the Make-A-Wish and Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh foundations.
Attendees are encouraged to dress up in Halloween costumes and run or walk the 5K course at 9:30 a.m. There will be winners in each group as well as a prize for best costume. Children age 8 and under are invited to take a quarter-mile Spooky Stroll at 10:30 a.m. Trick or treating and pumpkin decorating will occur along the route.
