ASSE Exchange Student Program

 ASSE International Student Exchange Programs (ASSE) is seeking local host families for boys and girls from a variety of countries around the world – France, Spain, Norway, Finland, Germany, China, Azerbaijan, Taiwan, Thailand and many others. These students are 15 to 18 years of age, and are coming to your area for the upcoming high school year or semester.  The students are personable, academically selected, conversant in English, bright, curious and excited to learn about the America by Living as part of your family, attending high school and sharing their own culture and language with you.

Your student will arrive from their home country shortly before school begins and return at the end of the school year or semester.  Each ASSE student is fully insured, brings his or her own personal spending money and expects to contribute to household responsibilities, as well as being included in normal family activities and lifestyles.

Pennsylvania High School Exchange Student is chosen to attend Youth Leadership Conference.    

Farida Abbasova, attending Pine Richland High School was chosen to attend the Better Understanding for a Better World (BUBW) Conference April 17 – 21 in Baltimore Maryland.  This event is sponsored by the Civilizations Exchange & Cooperation Foundation (CECF) and is Co-Sponsored by the Muslim Community Center.  BUBW promotes peace, understanding and appreciation between American high school students and students from around the world.  Our youth of different religions, ethnic backgrounds and cultural diversity come together to discuss pressing issues that impacts their future. BUBW nurtures friendships between students, discussing such topics as various aspects of leadership including business and entrepreneurship and promoting a mutual respect, awareness, common values and the importance of cultural tolerance and how it impacts the future. Upon completion of this conference Farida will be encouraged to share via a presentation with her peers. 

Farida, is a International High School Exchange Student, from Azerbaijan, she is one of ASSE International Exchange Students  (www.assehosts.com) and is a student of the FLEX Program (Future Leader Exchange Program which is sponsored by the US Dept. of State).  She has been studying as a high school student of Pine Richland High School District since August of 2012.  To learn more about hosting a exchange student please contact ASSE International Exchange Program at 800.677.2773 Local Area Representative at 412.979.8324 or visit the website at www.host.asse.com.  ASSE International currently does have FLEX and other scholarship students available to host for the 2013-14 school year.
