AT&T Adding Third Store to McKnight Road
The new store, which will be located on a lot previously occupied by an Exxon gas station, is expected to open in early 2012.
AT&T is adding a third store to the McKnight Road corridor in Ross Township. It will be located at the site of the former Exxon gas station at the intersection of McKnight and Siebert Roads.
“We are tentatively set to begin construction at the end of 2011,” said AT&T spokeswoman Brandy Bell-Truskey.
“The plan is to have the store open and running in the first part of 2012," she said.

The new AT&T store will be about 100 yards from its chief competitor, Verizon Wireless, which has a store on the same side of the road at 4930 McKnight.
The property at 4800 McKnight Road was sold in June to Mc Pgh Development LLC for $600,000, according to the Allegheny County real estate website.

The 1.03-acre lot is valued at $677,000. The gas station on the property was demolished in late August.
The developer is seeking investors for the project, which is estimated to cost $1.68 million.
AT&T also has stores in Ross Park Mall, and just south of Northway Mall at 7707 McKnight Road.
