"Baddest" Badfingers Takes On Jester At Pittsburgh Wrestling Fundraiser

Keystone State Wrestling Alliance 5-Star Champion Bobby Badfingers isn't happy about defending his gold against popular upstart The Jester.

The Keystone State Wrestling Alliance’s Bobby Badfingers has not been happy recently. Recently may be an understatement.

Badfingers, the reigning 5-Star Wrestling Champion, has long felt under-appreciated and ill-respected by Pittsburgh’s professional wrestling organization ever since his debut on June 27, 2009. He has been a frequent champion, starting with a win for the organization’s Golden Triangle Championship on May 7, 2011. He defended that belt successfully a few times before losing it to Jay Flash on December 3, 2011.

Since that time Badfingers has continued to be one of the toughest Megastars Pittsburgh has to offer. During his time in the KSWA, two different wrestlers have hastily retired in fear of wrestling this professional. Others have tread lightly.

Two years and three days after losing the second most prestigious wrestling title in the Commonwealth (the KSWA Heavyweight belt is universally regarded as the most sought-after and most distinguished in the state), Badfingers won the 5-Star Championship. The 5-Star belt was designed for wrestlers who boasted high-technical wrestling skills; however, the Windy City Brawler is a pure, tough customer.

Badfingers won the ”Gauntlet” style match at FanFest. Since then he has defended the belt against Kris Kash, had a DQ finish against the 7-toot-tall Jack Massacre, and was bested by “The Drunken Luchadore” Joey Quervo by another disqualification. He and “The King” Del Douglas recently had a double count-out during the Millvale Days celebration a few weeks ago.

Now he takes on The Jester, who recently and nearly became the Golden Triangle Champion. The Jester says he’s ready and well-scouted for Badfingers.

Badfingers will be accompanied to the ring by his manager, the dastardly Mayor Mystery.

The match is part of a fundraiser for St. Raphael’s School in the Morningside neighborhood within the city of Pittsburgh. In other matches, KSWA World Heavyweight Champion Shane Starr defends against former champion “Dr. Devastation” Lou Martin. The KSWA Tag Team Champions--who have been featured in the Wall Street Journal--Jack Massacre and “Big” Mike Malachi take on the former champions Edric Everhart and Tyler Cross. In addition. the Golden Triangle Championship is on the line as “The Ice Man” Tony Johnson challenges the 367 lb. Bulldozer (with Mayor Mystery) for that prize.

St. Raphael’s is located at 1154 Chislett Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15206. All tickets are $10. For tickets and more information, call 412-726-1762 or 412-661-0288. Card is subject to change.
