The North Hills Girls' Cross Country team, without one of their top runners, Shannon Malone, finished third at the WPIAL Cross Country Meet at Cooper's Lake Thursday, October 24th at Cooper's Lake. Mary Malone, who finished 2nd overall, paced the Girls' team. Sabrina Palmeiri was 11th, Clare Brown 20th, Caitlyn Janeda 31, Alex Rode, 44, Tara O'Toole 93, and Sydney Wolff 124. The team qualified for the PIAA Championships, which will be held in Hershey, PA on November 3, 2012. Anton Martinez also qualified for the state meet as an individual on the boys' side for North Hills, finishing 13th overall.
