Community At Holy Family Manor To Hold Charitable Walk

Participants in the event range from babies to centenarians.

ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA - People from ages one to 101 will participate in a charitable mini-walk event next week at The Community at Holy Fair Manor.

Coming together to raise money for the Holy Fair Manor team that will take part in the upcoming Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community on Pittsburgh’s North Shore will be residents, staff, students and volunteers at the manor’s three core services. They are the Holy Family Manor Personal Care and Memory Care Unit, Nazareth Housing Service and the Mt. Nazareth Learning Center.

Mini-walk participants will complete a tree-lined quarter-mile-course on foot, in strollers and in wheelchairs. The walk will occur May 9 at 10:30 a.m. with May 10 being a makeup date in the event of inclement weather.

“This will be a celebration for all ages” says Sister Antonina Gadacz, CSFN Coordinator for the Intergenerational Program. “A certain magic happens when these generations interact.”
