Don't Let Hot Weather Get You Hot Under the Collar

It's human nature to never be satisified.

I hear it all the time: "I can't take another day of this heat!" 

But 6 months from now the common phrase will likely be: "When is it going to warm up?"

What is it about the weather that makes so many people make so many comments and complaints about something that they can't control?

Stephen Cropper, Chief Meteorologist at WPXI-TV, had the best answer I'd ever heard.

"Weather," he said "Is the great common denominator."

So as we collectively swelter through another hot, steamy, summer day, I ask all of you to consider the alternative.

All of the pictures in the box to the right were taken in the middle of winter. Remember what it's like to take a minimum of 10 minutes "suiting up" (and I'm not talking Barney Stinson) just to go outside?
